Should founders replace themselves with AI?

I got a wild call from a client the other day...

“Should I replace myself with AI?”

(no, this isn’t a black mirror episode. this is real life in 2025.)

More and more founders are asking the same thing:

If tools like HeyGen can generate video content of me... why not just automate myself entirely?

Here’s what I always ask in response:

If you found out the content you loved from someone you admire was AI-generated… how would that change your perception of them?

For me?

I'd feel misled. Disconnected. Maybe even a little betrayed.

I'm spending my time getting to know, like, and trust this person, but it's not them.

It's a robot version of them.

Believe it or not, this has already happened to a lot of people.

When people discover the “thought leader” they’ve been engaging with is actually an AI clone (or worse, a VA)…

💥 Trust is instantly shattered.

And trust is everything in business.

That’s why I don’t recommend using AI to replace you.

I recommend using it to enhance you.

→ Let AI save you time
→ Let it streamline your workflow
→ But don’t let it replace your voice, your presence, or your connection
