Here's How to Actually Get Leads

Justin Vajko • February 17, 2025

I audited 12 of my last clients. Here's what they told me.

STOP viewing posting as a way to get a lead right away.

If you're doing that, you're looking at B2B all wrong.

It might seem logical at first:

  • You post something.
  • You get a lead.

But it doesn’t work that way in reality.

I’ve talked about this before in my coaching sessions.

I audited my last clients. None of them referenced a single post.

Recently, I audited the last 12 clients I worked with. And guess what? Not one of them mentioned a specific post.

When I asked, “Was it that post that grabbed your attention?” they all said, “I’ve been following your content for a while.”

It’s about consistency over time.

That’s what generates leads, not just a single post.

And honestly, this is what you want, too.

If you're in a complex, high-stakes industry, you don’t want to be getting leads from just one post. You need to be selective about the type of clients you bring on board.

You want people to:

  • Get to know you.
  • Like you.
  • Trust you.

Over time, that’s when the real connections happen. That’s when they’ll think, “I want to work with this person.”

If you want more tips on how to post the right way as a B2B founder, keep reading.
