You're Spending Too Much on Lighting

Most lighting issues can be solved with two changes

Here’s the secret to solve 90% of lighting problems.

(and you don’t have to shell out $40k on bulbs the size of your head)

1) Use a window as your natural light source.

Do NOT use:

→ Overhead lights

→ Halogen lights

→ Other artificial lights

Just use natural light.

It will ALWAYS make you look much better than trying to rig up multiple lights and all that jazz.

I’ve tried that before.

You can do it.

It works for some people.

But it takes way more time…and it’s very difficult to do well.

2) Avoid backlighting

If I’m standing behind a window, that’s backlighting.

All of the sudden, my body’s just going to turn into a shadowy blob.

That’s a super common mistake we see with lighting.

Just do those two things, and you’ll instantly improve your lighting. All without spending thousands of dollars on lighting rigs.
