"I'm just not comfortable on video."
I hear this all the time: “Justin, I’m just not comfortable on video. I know I need to do it, but I don’t want to.”
My biggest tip for getting over that fear: Just do the reps.
Practice recording yourself WITHOUT the expectation of posting it after.
Just hit record and start talking.
Exposure therapy works for a reason. The more you do something, the more your body learns it's not actually dangerous.
You might even look at the video afterward and think: “Hey, that wasn’t so bad. Maybe I can post this.”
And when you do, you’ll realize it’s not as scary as you think.
When it comes to video, the fear is in your head. It’s not actually that bad.
But if you still don’t feel confident, try watching other people’s videos.
You’ll start to realize it’s not so hard.
And if you’re STILL feeling nervous, maybe you need a Content Buddy™.
(if you don’t know what that is, shoot me a message)
