How Not to Burn Out Pivoting

Justin Vajko • May 16, 2025

Pivoting is the fastest way to burn out (if you’re doing it without support).

I pivoted a LOT before I found the niche I’m in now.

And I learned a ton each time I did, but it was deeply exhausting.

If you’re a founder and things aren’t working out after a pivot, here are some signs:

→ You’re spread too thin.

→ You don’t have clarity.

→ You’re not getting market traction because your product probably isn’t a fit.

And you probably DO need to pivot again.

But before you do, stop and get some advice.

You need somebody to advise you on your pivot.

They can help you identify if it’s the right pivot to make. And they can encourage you to take a leap again and hold you accountable to your new vision.
